Indonesia ranked 4th Most Beautiful Country in the World

The wonderful beauty of the Indonesian archipelago once again received worldwide recognition as Indonesia was named the fourth most beautiful country in the world through the survey conducted on Twitter and Pinterest by United Kingdom’s leading leisure travel company website, First Choice.
Topped only by Latvia, Mexico, and Turkey, Indonesia managed to outrank other countries in the top ten which include United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand, Brazil, India, and Canada. Other popular vacation countries such as Swiss, France, Spain, and Japan did not even make it to the top ten. The survey was officially closed at midnight GMT on Friday, 18 May 2012.

Amazing Banda Islands in Maluku

Formerly known as the Moluccas, Maluku is a cluster of about one thousand islands totaling 74,504 km, forming part of the Malay Archipelago in eastern Indonesia. Also known as ‘Spice Islands’ for it source of cloves and nutmeg, the region divided into two provinces, Maluku with its capital Ambon, and North Maluku with its capital Ternate. One of the best destinations is Banda Island, the only source of nutmegs during the heyday of spice trading. The main access point is Bandaneira, a small sea side town where you can spot the remains of countless colonial structures. 

Scattered across the sea north of Timor and east of Sulawesi, parts of Maluku islands also extended to the Arafura Sea in South Papua. The province has so many islands to wander across and all are located hundreds of kilometers from Ambon. Maluku islands might offer unbeatable beach living, but what makes it super interesting to some is its cultural heritage. 


Jakarta, the Capital City

Jakarta, the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia, is a special territory enjoying the status of a province, consisting of Greater Jakarta, covering an area of 637.44 square km. Located on the northern coast of West Java, it is the center of government, commerce and industry and as such has an extensive communications network with the rest of the country and the outside world. Petitenget Beach, Beautiful Beach and Mystical Temples

Petitenget Beach is a beach located in the village of Kerobokan, North Kuta Sub-district, Badung regency. In addition, this beach is located on the same coastline with beaches of Kuta and Legian beaches, which certainly is not less beautiful landscape with both the beach. Petitenget Beach is famous for its coastal beauty, clad in white sand. In addition large waves waves suitable for surfing sports place. On this beach you can sunbathe, swim, or just enjoy the panoramic view of the beach while waiting for sunset. The best time to visit this beach is during the morning or when the sun started to come back into the contest, as the quantity of sun rays on the beach is fairly high throughout the day. So it tends to be more crowded beach in the afternoon.

Getting Around Corner of Malioboro, Yogyakarta

Malioboro is the most famous street in Yogyakarta. Located in the heart of Yogya, this is the city’s main street, and was once the ceremonial avenue for the Sultan to pass through on his way to and from the Keraton. During such occasions Malioboro would be festively decorated with flowers. Some say that the name Malioboro” derives from the name of the British governor Marlborough from the era when Britain ruled the archipelago, between 1811-1816.

Pampang Cultural Park, Kalimantan Barat

Kalimantan occupied two-third of Borneo Island, the world’s third biggest island after Greenland and New Guinea, sharing the borders with Brunei Darussalam and the Malaysian state of Serawak and Sabah. It is the land of the Dayak people who long ago were famous as courageous warriors.
